I’m very happy with the Smith Machine S13. It does everything I expected and feels very solid and high-quality. The machine is sturdy, stable, and the different components all feel well made.
The instructions were a little unclear in some places. I also noticed what I believe is a small mistake in the instructions regarding one of the screws for the pull-up bar. The instructions indicate using the shorter screw, but you actually need the slightly longer one. If you use the shorter screw, you end up being short on screws at the end. With the longer screw (I think it was the 25 mm one), everything works out exactly right.
One of the biggest advantages for me is the compact design. It’s a great option if you don’t have a lot of space available. My room has a slanted wall, and the machine fit really well despite that, which I was very happy about.
I also really like the AR option on the website. It gave me a very clear idea of how to position the machine in my room, and the visualization looked remarkably realistic. This made it much easier to imagine how the machine would fit in my available space before ordering it.
You can also do an enormous variety of exercises on this machine. There is almost always a way to adapt an exercise to the machine. For example, even exercises like leg extensions can be done using the cable pulley system with the right setup. The combination of the Smith machine, cable pulley, pull-up bar, and dip bars makes it a very versatile piece of equipment for a home gym.
The delivery to Belgium took around two weeks, and it arrived directly at my home in good condition.
Overall, I’m really happy with the Smith Machine S13. It feels strong and reliable, offers a huge number of exercise possibilities, and is especially useful if you have limited space. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile home gym machine.
